Kaoru Takeshita joined The Long-Term Credit Bank of Japan (present-day Shinsei Bank, Limited) in 1998. He was seconded to the Local Administration Bureau of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, and then transferred to Deloitte Tohmatsu FAS LLC. He joined Frontier Management Inc. in 2008, and in 2016 was appointed managing director.

At The Long-Term Credit Bank of Japan, Mr. Takeshita handled the commercial banking business which dealt with large corporations and major clients that were struggling with poor business performance. He was also seconded to the Local Administration Bureau of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.

At the audit corporation, Deloitte Tohmatsu FAS LLC, Mr. Takeshita was primarily involved in business due diligence, the development of medium-term business plans and restructuring plans, and monitoring the implementation of these plans and other services for hotels, general contractors, semiconductor manufactures, and other clients.

At Frontier Management Inc., Mr. Takeshita was involved in business due diligence, the development of business strategies, cost rationalization projects, support for implementing measures. He helped provide support for rehabilitation and other operations involving various industries as project manager, including the support for development of the medium-term business plan of PARIS MIKI HOLDINGS Inc. In addition, he was involved in the acquisition of eyewear retail shops in department stores, the development of the medium-term business plans for Yellow Hat Ltd. and local department stores, while supporting the cost rationalization for Mercian Corporation and the voluntary liquidation of local bookstores. In support for rehabilitation, Mr. Takeshita was in charge of coordinating between financial institutions that had been requested to provide financial assistance, and negotiating with the SME Business Rehabilitation Support Co-operative, etc.
