After working for a management consulting company and a real estate company, Mr. Okino joined Smith New Court Plc in 1993. Then, he worked at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson Securities and Schroder Securities before joining UBS Securities in 1998. Subsequently, he joined Frontier Management Inc. in 2020.

For 26 years, from 1993 to 2019, he belonged to the stock survey department of a securities company and consistently researched companies in the real estate, housing and construction sectors. At UBS Securities, he also acted as co-manager of Global Research from 2010 to 2019.

For 12 consecutive years, from 2004 to 2015, a survey by Institutional Investor ranked him No.1 among analysts in the housing and real estate sectors. A survey by Nikkei Veritas also ranked him No.1 among analysts in the housing and real estate sectors for 14 consecutive years, from 2003 to 2016, as well as in 2018.
