Joined the Ministry of Finance (currently the Ministry of Finance) in 1975 and was appointed Director-General of the Inspection Bureau of the Financial Services Agency in 2004. He served as Director-General of the Supervisory Bureau in 2007 and as Secretary-General of Executive Bureau of the Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission in 2008. In 2009, he was appointed Senior Managing Director of Organization for Promoting Urban Development Organization, and in 2013 he was appointed Senior Managing Director of the Vice Chairman of Regional Banks Association of Japan. He was appointed advisor of Frontier Management Inc. in August 2022 and He became a Director of the Board of the Company in 2023.
