Mikinao Ikarashi

He joined GE Capital in 2001 and subsequently worked at KPMG AZSA LLC. He undertook domestic and international M&A advisory-related duties from 2007 at Daiwa Securities SMBC Co. Ltd. (now Daiwa Securities Co. Ltd.) and from 2012 at EY Transaction Advisory Services Inc. (EY TAS) before joining Frontier Management Inc. in 2014. Since 2022, he has been leading our EMEA cross-border M&A practice based in Paris, France.

At Daiwa Securities SMBC Co. Ltd. (now Daiwa Securities Co. Ltd.), he engaged mainly in M&A advisory-related duties for ICT, media, retail, services and other non-manufacturers in Japan. He also engaged in cross-border projects during his assignment at a European-affiliated company as well as in Japan.

At EY Transaction Advisory Services Inc., (EY TAS) he continued to engage in domestic and international M&A advisory-related duties for a wide array of customers, including manufacturers and PE funds.

At Frontier Management Inc., he handled the acquisition by Nippon Molymer of Maxell's resin molding business in the U.K., the acquisition by NGK SPARK PLUG CO., LTD of CAIRE Inc. (US), Chart BioMedical Limited (UK) and Chart BioMedical (China) Co., Ltd., the sale of the ceramic tube business for vacuum switches of NGK SPARK PLUG CO., LTD. to Carborundum Universal Limited (India), the acquisition by NGK SPARK PLUG CO.,LTD. of Nippon Ceratech Co., Ltd. from Taiheiyo Cement Corporation, the acquisition by Sekisui Chemical Co., Ltd. of Healthy Service Corporation from Japan Private Equity Co., Ltd., the acquisition by Hitachi Systems, Ltd. of SecureBrain Corporation, the sale of the power equipment business of Asahitech Co., Ltd. to Mizuho Capital Partners Co., Ltd., the sale of Adcloud Inc. to GMO AD Partners, Inc., the partial transfer by Hitachi, Ltd. of its stocks of Hitachi Transport System, Ltd. to SG Holdings Co., Ltd., the acquisition by NGK SPARK PLUG CO., LTD. of the stocks of Japan MDM, Inc. from ITOCHU Corporation, the sale by JAFCO Co., Ltd. of Payroll Inc. to Création Capital, Inc., the acquisition by T-Gaia Corporation of QUO CARD Co., Ltd. from SCSK Corporation, the sale of the domestic MVNO business of Plus One Marketing Ltd. to Rakuten, Inc., the sale of the mobile terminal manufacturing and distribution business of Plus One Marketing Ltd. to MAYA SYSTEM Inc., the acquisition of Confex by Tokio Marine Capital, the management integration between Kokubu Chubu and Tokan by means of the joint share transfer, the share exchange concerning Hulic making Nippon View Hotel a wholly-owned subsidiary, the takeover bid of Polatechno by Nippon Kayaku, the acquisition of Suruga Bank shares by Nojima Corporation, the capital and business alliance of Royal Holdings by Sojitz Corporation, the acquisition by Sojitz Corporation of 60% shares of Royal In-Flight Catering, the acquisition by Hitachi of Kyoto Robotics Corporation, the third-party allocation of preferred shares in KNT-CT Holdings to Kintetsu Group Holdings, the takeover bid of ONLY by Shinshifuku Nakanishi, the takeover bid of The Kamogawa Grand Hotel by Nippon Sangyo Suishin Kiko, the sale of shares in Jampara owned by Japan Private Equity to Softmap, the acquisition of Tri-stage by Bain Capital and a range of other operations.
