Career Summary

Mr. Hirota joined Mitsubishi Corporation in 2000 and was assigned to the Infrastructure Business Division , where he was involved in the formation of domestic and international infrastructure projects, new business development, business investment management, M&A, etc. In 2018, he served as an overseas strategy advisor at Fujita Corporation, a general construction company in the Daiwa House Group , and in 2020, he joined the Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, where he was involved in the planning and implementation of risk management. In 2022, he joined Frontier Management Inc.

Achievements

At Mitsubishi Corporation, Mr. Hirota planned and implemented domestic and international infrastructure projects (airports, ports, plants, resource development, automobile factory production, etc.). He was in charge of new business creation (environmental businesses, energy management, digital transformation [DX]), business investment and M&A. He was engaged in value-added business proposals, finance schemes, market development, and the implementation of business investment projects (including trilateral transactions with Europe, North America, Africa, the Middle East, and China).

As a strategic advisor to the International Business Division at Fujita Corporation, he was involved in the creation of new businesses, overseas expansion models, business model planning, and consulting for overseas projects that were already underway. In his cross-functional role, he was involved in the planning and implementation of expansion strategies for countries where the company had not yet established a presence (Kenya, India, Bangladesh, the Middle East, etc.), and he developed business models for development projects (DX, airports, smart cities, logistics, etc.).

In the Accreditation Section of the Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games , he contributed to the successful implementation of the Games by introducing a new operational model and risk management methods for the unprecedented management of the Games, and by acting as a coordinator and negotiator with the IOC/IPC and related authorities.

At Frontier Management Inc., he oversees cross-border, B-to-B and B-to-C business in the Corporate Strategy Department .
