Career Summary
Joined Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd. in 2009, where he was mainly responsible for the design of power plant construction projects in the plant EPC business (Energy & Environment Group ). He also promoted operational improvements such as the standardization of design, aimed at reducing internal costs and streamlining operations.
Joined Boston Consulting Group in 2020, where he provided end-to-end support across several industries and companies, from the identification of scope for improvements including cost reductions and operational reforms to the implementation of actual measures, as a core member of the operations team.
Joined Frontier Management Inc. in 2025.
Achievements
At Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd., he gained end-to-end experience as a plant engineer, from the design and procurement to post-delivery after-sales service of large-scale equipment such as power generation boilers (for biomass power generation) and melting kilns (for the recovery of rare metals). In addition to providing design services, he also promoted design operational process improvement activities within the company, implementing cost reductions and operational reforms (more efficient operations and output quality improvement/standardization).
At Boston Consulting Group, he gained experience from the identification of scope for improvements to the implementation of measures for cost reduction and operational reforms (streamlining and functional enhancement) projects for a wide range of companies and industries, such as manufacturing, transport infrastructure, healthcare, and temporary employee placement. He has expertise especially in the operational reform of technical departments, leveraging his insight into both engineering and consulting to promote technical operational process reforms to solve the “shortage of engineers,” a common challenge facing many technical companies and departments in recent years.
