Tatsuo Omagari started his career in 2001 at The Fuji Bank, Limited (now Mizuho Bank, Ltd.). In 2003, he joined The Tokyo Star Bank, Limited. He was engaged in handling debt financing for corporate restructuring, DIP Finance. From 2004, he was engaged in M&A advisory services at two or more M&A Boutiques and participation in management for reorganization (turnaround). In 2016, he joined Mizuho Corporate Advisory Co., Ltd.. He was mainly responsible for offering M&A advisory services to mid-market companies within borders. In 2020, he joined KPMG FAS Co., Ltd.. He mainly handled business restructuring projects as a member of the restructuring team. In 2021, he joined Frontier Management Inc..
Prior to joining Frontier Management Inc., Tatsuo has over 15 years of professional experience working extensively in the fields of M&A advisory, corporate recovery and business restructuring services. He has particularly specialized in Special Situations M&A advisory services, the tailored M&A solutions in business reorganization and recapitalization to mid-market companies during periods of under-performance and financial stress.
At Mizuho Financial Group, he has been engaged in M&A advisory services and has advised both listed and non-listed clients in a wide range of industry sectors on various types of transactions, including leveraged buyout (LBO) and management buyout (MBO).
