Jotaro Koshimori joined the Chunichi Shimbun in 1997. Served as a reporter in charge of the Metropolitan Police Department for the social column (white-collar/organized crime) and a correspondent in charge of transportation and travel for the financial column. Moved to Kroll International Inc., Japan Branch in 2012, Thomson Reuters Markets KK (currently, Refinitiv Japan K.K.) in 2015, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu LLC in 2016, and Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. in 2017. At Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., he took charge of the misconduct survey at the Japan Compliance Office. Mr. Koshimori joined Frontier Management Inc. in 2019.

At Kroll International Inc., he offered due diligence from the perspective of compliance/reputation, and performed surveys on a variety of matters, including misconduct and competitors.

At Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu LLC, he mainly worked on PR related to risk management and crisis simulation projects belonging to Risk Advisory.

At Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., he managed and operated the whistle-blowing system within the group while investigating misconduct and concerns about compliance occurring at the head office, its domestic subsidiaries and overseas bases.

He has investigated a wide range of misconduct in his career, such as financial crimes including fraud, professional embezzlement and misuse of cost, infringement of the Act against Delay in Payment of Subcontract Proceeds, Etc. to Subcontractors, kickbacks with exploitation of consignees, unfair trading between affiliates, conflict of interest, collusion with foreign public servants, falsification of records on manufacturing/development processes, and stealing of trade secrets/intellectual property.
