Katsumasa Asami
Katsumasa Asami joined Jitsugyo no Nihon Sha, Ltd. in 1994. After engaging in editorial assignments for an economics magazine, he moved to Alico Japan (currently MetLife Insurance K.K.) in 1995 and then AC Nielsen Corp. Japan (currently the Nielsen Company Japan) in 1998. In 2002, Mr. Asami served at Toray Corporation and continued to develop his career mainly at Toray Corporate Business Research, Inc., the company’s subsidiary where he was seconded, and the Marketing Planning Office at the company’s headquarters. He went to Tokio Marine & Nichido Risk Consulting Co., Ltd. in 2009. After advancing his career at Deloitte Tohmatsu Financial Advisory LLC., which he entered in 2018, Mr. Asami joined Frontier Management Inc., in 2019.
At Toray Corporation, Mr. Asami took on PMO assignments for companywide projects such as the enhancement of corporate brand awareness and reform of sales capabilities, while simultaneously working to plan and facilitate PR and marketing activities in a company-wide effort.
At Tokio Marine & Nichido Risk Consulting Co., Ltd., he was engaged in risk management, including consulting services in the product safety area such as the handling of product-related accidents. He also undertook consulting projects in the ESG area such as the administration of corporate surveys regarding socially responsible funds.
At Deloitte Tohmatsu Financial Advisory LLC, Mr. Asami belonged to a department in charge of forensic matters and provided support for initiatives aimed at the fraud investigations and the prevention of any recurrence, with a focus on enhancing governance for companies in which wrongdoings occurred.
